Stephen Coonts is a New York Times best-selling author of military and spy thrillers. Coonts began writing while in the military, and later while pursuing his law degree.
His debut, Flight of the Intruder, became a hit and led to the beloved Jake Grafton series of novels. Coonts, a pilot himself, loved the A-6 Intruder for which the novel is named.
Coonts speaks of his love of flight and his time in the military in this incredibly insightful sit down with Greg Kelly. The pair also discuss Coonts’ writing process, his enormous success, and what even the kinds of novels he tries to shy away from writing.
